Illustration Friday - Green

I added this new green Sat. morning. I love sepia. What do you think of this muted green?

Here’s a fun one. The original is simply graphite pencil, but I colorize it in Fireworks. I’m still learning the program and love opportunities to try new things. I’m wondering if people prefer b/w or different tints. A few weeks ago I wanted to post RED but I didn’t have a blog yet. What do you think? The images were created as b/w portfolio pieces. Maybe I should do something more with them.

Thanks for stopping by.

Have a great week!

I'm a fan of the colorization, though i imagine the b/w must be a pretty strong piece. It might be fun to see "green" in a few differnt colors.

i agree with ian. i'm usually a fan of minimal color, but i think the monochromatic style is pretty effective here.

nicely done.

I agree that these pieces are just wonderful! I too love Alice and Wonderland and really like what you've done with the imagery. Very cool.

I like straight up black and white for a lot of things, but I think that the colorize definitely is nice. It gives the pieces a definitely charged feel!

All the green is good. I really like the muted tone, but in any color this is a wonderful illustration.

Lovely Alice - she's got just that right combination of spunk and propriety.
